True 2 Life is a part of the New York City Crisis Management System. It revolutionizes the perception and reduction of violence by promoting a public health and science-based approach, treating violence as a learned behavior that can be prevented by utilizing disease control methods.

If such a contagious epidemic is ignored, like any disease, it spreads. True 2 Life understands that violence persists despite external punishment or moral judgment. To effectively affect peaking societal violence, social norms need to become eradicated from the source.

In the unfortunate situation that someone in our community is shot and killed, True2Life hosts Shooting Responses where the individual was killed. This is one of the ways we go about reaching out to our community and enlightening them about the services that we offer to hopefully prevent situations as such from happening again.

True 2 Life understands that we can not just be reactive in our approach against gun violence and must work diligently to uplift our communities. We work proactively throughout our neighborhoods to provide well need resources.
